Moose’s Down Under

My Partner and I after walking through town on a Saturday night and decided to drop in to catch up on NRL football. Staff including owner were so friendly, happy to chat. You will never go thirsty service was fantastic we had drinks whilst Karaoke…was happening and left at close. My partner recommends chicken strips one of the best strips he has had. Can’t second that being vegetarian however I loved my Vegemite and Cheese Sanga with Fries. Service is amazing and you definitely feel at home and welcome.

Lovely meal and friendly service. Huge portions. Try one of the special chicken options – yum! Lots of choice for the kids too.

Had a great group drink/meal after a tour. Fun place with efficient but laid back service. A little noisy. Or was that just our group?

I loved this place so much when I was in Vancouver! My go to for a great Schnitzel Parma. Corina, the manager, is fantastic. A great spot to watch the football and hang out with great food. Couldnt recommend higher!

Made us feel at home from the outset. We’ve been in Vancouver now for 3 days and have eaten in Mooses 4 times so far. If we lived in Vancouver this would be our local. Great food, great staff and great prices. The only disappointment…was that we went in on our last night and had our hearts set on the Aussie Meat Pie but they were sold out (just goes to show how popular it is) couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

We had spent the morning walking around Gastown and China town. My feet had given out and we needed to find a place for me to sit and eat lunch. The restaurant in the hotel would have been great, but we just wanted something a…little more down to earth. We found this wonderful pub by mistake and what a find. The staff was so warm and welcoming we felt like this was our neighborhood bar back home. The homemade chicken gumbo and cheesy bread was yummy. Would highly recommend you check out this hidden gem.

As travelling Aussies, we are reluctant to visit an ‘aussie’ bar or restaurant, but wandered into this place for breakfast. Loved the vibe, service and breakfast wasn’t huge – which is a good thing! I’m getting tired of the gigantic platters of food for breakfast….Highly recommendMore

We were told we had to have a meal at this restaurant and now wished we hadn’t. The service was ok, but the meals were ordinary to say the least. They might be huge serves but the flavour was just not there. Not to mention…the musty smell and the dirty cracked bench seats. I honestly could not wait to get out of this place.

We found this Aussie gem by stumbling into it. Australians need a home base and we made this our breakfast base as it was close to our hotel. Great spot, although showing its age. Aussie rules decor (No NRL in sight). The food and service…is good and Aussie .breakfast served. Even got Vegemite. A good findMore

Met a friend for lunch. Pub atmosphere with an Australian twist. Very popular – a bit noisy as a result, but what can you expect for a pub at lunch. Food was great – had the Meatloaf Dinner (even thou it was lunch) and it…was HUGE. Don’t remember what my friend had, sorry. Great spot for lunch, very reasonable and food was great. Pleasant change from all the overpriced (and overhyped) downtown restaurants. Will go again!More
