Still ticking along so busy and so beautiful. Social distancing, All COVID protocols in place. Without a doubt the most beautiful restaurant in Vancouver (even with the screening in place). The food is simple and delicious. Most of all the staff make one feel like…family, Each with their own individual personality and sense of being a good host to every diner. These fabulous warm efficient people wrap each person in their care. They make one feel included as a welcome guest with their kind hospitality.
Giardino is a 5 star restaurant, HOWEVER, we are shocked at the absence of one of the BEST servers. GIOVANNA is the reason that we have returned SO MANY TIMES. The atmosphere and the meals are insignificant if the service is not exemplary. Giovanna and…Giardino mean a 100% experience. We are so extremely disappointed that she is missing.
Delayed by COVID and other interruptions, I finally used a gift certificate for a meal at Giardino restaurant. And what a meal it was – memorable and totally enjoyable! Giardino offers the type of fine dining that I really appreciate. The ambiance is elegant and…comfortable, enhanced by a huge collection of artwork. The service is attentive, professional and friendly. And the food is superb. I enjoyed a burrata salad plate and then venison loin with bone marrow pudding and a Chianti reduction. My partner had smoked salmon followed by rack of lamb. The meal was perfectly accompanied by a Vino Nobile de Montepulciano from 2014. The restaurant was full of happy diners and the evening was wonderful!More
This is one of the top Italian restaurants in Vancouver. The pastas are fresh and tasty, and the service and atmosphere are exceptional. The decor reminds me of my last trip to Italy. I highly recommend the tirimisu for dessert.
I love this place although it is expensive and I can only justify for a celebration. It was our birthday (my husband and me both) so we figured we deserved it. Had a fabulous meal outside on their lovely very Italian feeling patio. Shared a…caprese salad and a pasta dish which they cheerfully plated on two separate plates. I then had the venison and my husband had the veal parmigiana. Both were perfectly cooked. Too full for dessert although the list looked very appealing.
Fabulous Italian cuisine. The owner was walking the floor, introducing himself and welcoming patrons. A friend booked our group, as we learned that one must reserve a table as much as 2 months in advance.
