Many people have recommended their Hainan chicken, as this is their signature dish, so finally tonight we came here to try for the first time. We can early as we heard it can get busy. We ordered the Hainan chicken with oil rice and a…chicken laksa, and we waited excitedly when 15 mins after we placed the order, the server came back and told us the chicken is sold out. We thought it was a bit strange given 15 mins have gone by before they told us. But anyways, we changed our order to something else non-chicken. However, during our entire meal, every table around us were able to order the chicken, even the people that came in after us. And even when we paid, someone came in to place a take-out order of the chicken and was able to get it. They couldn’t give us a direct answer why they lied to us about the sold out chicken, but I can say that I will never go back again!More

Portions are a little small for the pricing, but the food is tasty! Hainan Chicken rice particularly good, but stick with the half-chicken order so you get more dark meat (the white meat is a little less moist). Chicken wings come in 4 per order…and Roti only two per order, which seems a little pricey. But you could do worse in Vancouver. Also the staff are easy going, a little slow, but friendly enough! Our friend recommended and treated us for lunch at City One Cafe. We ordered the full Hainanese chicken and it comes with broth soup to start and 5 bowls of oily rice. The rice is quite tasty and not that oily. It comes with a…sweet chilli dipping sauce and the ginger green onion dipping sauce – both good. We also tried the deep fried taro which was like a dessert as it was a breaded sticky sweet taro rice roll – not bad.

Small restaurant. Service is attentive. Famous chicken and rice dish… must have it with diced ginger. Tried the curry vermicelli which was very tasty but portions are small. Value just isn’t worth the money spent.

Fast service and great customer device. They serve authentic Hainenese chicken. Menu selection is limited to only few dishes. Fully pack during lunchtime, they do reservation and take out orders.

This could be quite an acceptable place except for the predatory Diamond Parking creeps who hover at the front door waiting to spoil your digestion and increase your bill about ten-fold!

Very small restaurant open at11:30am , you need to be there early in order for you to get a table. Best famous food is Hai Nam chicken, best ever Malaysia food that we ever had before. Prices are very very reasonable. We will be back…for sure!More

Located in a plaza so plenty of free parking. We came here on a busy weeknight for the hainanese chicken and oily rice and considering it was a cold dish I would have thought it would come out sooner than later. We only order a…single portion which tasted really good, plus shanghai vermicelli noodles and satay skewers.
