CUISINES
Eastern European
This impeccably clean restaurant offers a few Bosnian specialties that I won’t attempt to spell here. There are chevapi, and my favourite which is a hamburger like sandwich called pljeskavica with meat served on a unique roll adorned with onions and cream cheese. This is…very simple but tasty. They offer these meats, that are made in house, frozen to take home.
This small eat-in or take-out restaurant is a hidden gem. Lunch today was a cevapi sandwich so popular in the Balkans. We followed that up with a zeljanica phyllo swirl with spinach and cheese from the takeaway counter. Delicious, and as good as we have…had in our many trips to southeastern Europe. The management is attentive, the restaurant is spotless, and the prices are very good: a great value. Visit Bosnian Specialties for something different: it is highly recommended. Some time we’ll get takeaway and head to a picnic bench down by the lake.
Just a few tables to sit at when times are normal but during covid grab and go is the way it is. They offer plenty of items premade but not cooked and are great for partys or gatherings.
Old school, authentic and to the point. If your hungry and you love meat then you have to visit this place. If you’re not familiar with this style of BBQ, try it, trust me you will be going back for more.
everything is created in-house…the chevapi are awesome, chicken or pork skewers are a favorite. I haven’t tried all the treats, but I visit 3 or 4 times a year because there’s never a disappointment.
