Took my parents to Mercato this week and everything was perfect. The server picked the right wine for my parents on their preference and recommended the rib steak to share with a couple sides. Was absolutely an amazing dish and we left very impressed. The only feedback I have is that the tables should be upgraded – ours were wobbly which was a bit annoying.
The Caprese salad is amazing….not like any other caprese salad. Wish there was more table seating instead of bar seating though.
Definitely recommend making a reservation at the kitchen bar! Where you can watch chefs cook in an open kitchen.
Our family went there to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We quite liked where we sat – service was great, our server was very attentive. The lamb dish was really very good. We were in an out in an hour.
I have traveler a great deal and enjoyed many a fine meal however I have never been served by someone like Brady. He made a special night with someone an epic experience that will never be forgotten. Haha, I almost forgot the food was equally as amazing as the service, truly great dining experience. Thank you so much for the evening!
As usual an excellent meal which we enjoyed family style with shared courses .
I liked the atmosphere of this place. Clean, well decorated, with smart floor plan and many tables available for customers. We had a brunch and our server Lauren was very helpful and friendly to ensure we made a right choice when selecting and combining our dishes. Pasta was superb! Bistecca was incredibly juicy and scrumptious. And chicken liver as an appetizer met our expectations! We will be back again.
First visit here for lunch. Deli always looks inviting! Found the food to be mediocre, overpriced for what you get. Much better options in Calgary these days.
We love Mercato…when we can get in. Our youngest daughter identified Mercato in Mission as the place she wanted to dine for her 15th birthday. We wanted to ensure we got in, so we made a reservation. The meal did not disappoint. The food was delicious. Fresh ingredients, timely service…the food came hot and tasty, but did not come to us fast or rushed. We took our time and ate a 4 course meal that was very memorable. And our waiter, Dino, from Dublin, Ireland was fantastic. But don’t try to get in without a reservation. This place has been there for years and is still busy ALL the time. A real gem.
1st time was a lunch with a group of 4 and 2nd time was a dinner date with the gf. All the portions are huge and perfect for sharing (and for getting well fed) the steak is legendary (had it with the mushrooms and they are delicious!) and the appetizers are amazing! Worth every penny!
