Café Boulud is Chef Daniel Boulud’s reimagined French Brasserie located in the Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville, Toronto. The restaurant serves a seasonally changing menu rooted in French tradition, highlighting both bistro classics and contemporary dishes inspired by Chef Daniel’s family meals in Lyon.
A gleaming rotisserie is used to slow-roast chicken à la broche, whole lobster, and even rum-scented pineapple. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, and offer brunch on Sundays.
Designed by Martin Brudnizki of London. The vintage-inspired ambiance is highlighted by a comfortable lounge and wraparound banquettes, a dining counter, and a semi-private room that accommodates up to eight guests. The restaurant has received several accolades since its renovation including Best Restaurant in Canada at the Notable Awards and Canada’s Hundred Best Restaurants.

Good was really great, especially enjoyed the oysters. The confit de canard was made nicely, as was the charcuterie appetizer
While Cafe Boulud has been a favorite of ours since it’s inception, our last meal there was a big disappointment. This was one of our first dinner out since Covid and we were really looking forward to it. But the service was sketchy, the prices dramatically increased and the food very basic. A bottle of Whispering Angel Rosé (which retails at the LCBO for $28) was offered at no less than 100$! We understand the consequences of Covid and the need to make up for lost revenue but at least, increase your service levels to match your super luxury prices. Service was poor, bread not offered, waters not refilled and my friends fish was cold. However one pleasant aspect was that social distancing allowed for a much nicer dinner as the restaurant’s usually very high noise level had been reduced to a pleasant conversation ambiance.
The food and our waiter Zak were fantastic.
Beautiful experience and ambience. Food On the dinner menu was bland and not exciting. Perhaps will try their lunch or brunch. The ispahan macaron was good, but not as I had expected – not the same as Laduree.
Turbot. Perfect. Great to see Dennis as always. Thank you always!!
Fantastic experience. We were surprised with scrumptious, freshly baked madeleines to congratulate my guest on his very special day
The food is below average, very disappointed. This is not what I would expect from the French cuisine and the dishes are definitely overpriced for its quality and creativity.
Excellent food, staff and atmosphere. I’d recommend for a date or outing with pals.
Very pleasant and quiet ambiance. The food was excellent and original.
Quality of food has gone down since I was there in February 2020
Thanksgiving lunch. All excellent!
