The last time we visited this Earles there was a problem with service relating to new procedure which I thought was not well handled and should have been better managed..in fact I left the restaurant disappointed and somewhat upset..the following week I therefore went to nearby Cactus Club and then went to the Gilmore/lougheed Earles for my weekly Earles outing for a month and a half, taking my business away from the Kingsway store..been customer of Earles since it opened 25 or 30 years ago..last night server Coco and Mgr Erica..made our weekly Earles experience nice and I appreciated.
We’re definitely coming back. Highly recommended.?
Earls was my son’s first choice to celebrate his graduation. The whole table enjoyed their food. Service was unfriendly. The restroom facilities very clean as was the restaurant. My son was happy as we’re we. Celebration cake was disappointing. Tasted stale. Everything else was delicious.
Good sangrias and great food options. friendly and welcoming stuff.
Try the Mother’s Earth salad with chicken. It is really delicious. I ordered it twice now. A bit pricey with the additional protein. And their ice cold frosty cocktails are perfect for these hot summer nights. The service is always top notch. I will be back for sure.
Friendly, courteous staff. Limited selection of jellies/marmalade but what was provided was good.
had a reservation for outside but asked to sit inside instead due to heat. Tons of empty tables but had to wait 10 mins to get seated at a table that was empty the whole time. It took close to half hour for food to reach the table.
The best part was our server (Amy) casual but efficient in her service. Cocktails are really good! Spicy tuna sushi – rice is raw..got replaced and the tuna was salty..and not even spicy..my friend ordered eggs Benedict, got tummy sick..I thought I’ve give Earl’s a chance since I had a really bad food experienced at the other branch however, it’s such a disappointment. I guess you got to really train your kitchen people. I will not recommend at all.
It’s nice that they’ve got a sizeable patio space, perfect for a summer day. As most restaurants during the pandemic the food may take a while to come out, but the server is doing everything they can to help. I particularly appreciate the staff who worked during the heatwave!
A/C wasn’t keeping up with the heat. Other than that was good. The new crab cake was superb!
Our server was great – very patient and thorough. Food was very good – great drinks!
Really delicious fresh food cooked with care! Very friendly service – all staff are truly warm and accommodating. Servers Marina and Anthony are particularly outstanding! The new patio is a great happy summer addition!
Reservations changed from patio to inside. People sitting on patio anyway. Service was extremely slow. No dirty dishes cleared.
We went there on Wednesday during happy hour. We really enjoyed the hot wings, pizza, chicken tacos, Cajun chicken sandwich and truffle fries. The calamari not so much since the oil they use was old and dark. It would be 5 star if it was not for this. Service was great and atmosphere was good.
The hostesses were very nice and friendly Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu items even with my modifications The only negative was that I was missing a food item in my dish (cheese) as described and the menu did not have all ingredients listed in the salad ie avocado and grapes but was included which I would have preferred without
Good food, nice cocktails, service was acceptable
I love Earl’s Lougheed, Burnaby, mostly for their patio seating. I have to admit, I’m not a huge fan of their menu, especially when comparing to their immediate competitor, Cactus Club. There are only a select few items I really enjoy at Earl’s. Their Thai dish is really nice and very similar to Cactus. The Nashville Chicken sandwich is pretty tasty, deep fried chicken tossed in a spicy sauce but I would strongly recommend requesting extra coleslaw on it…they are quite frugal with it and yet I find the coleslaw compliments and balances the crispy, spicy chicken really well…their Sante Fe salad is nice, altho today the chicken was dry and salad wilted..thinking they overdressed it. Idk. (I usually love this salad) …it’s not a bad experience…I’m just not thrilled with their menu.
Our appys were good. The main courses were not the steaks had so much pepper on them you could not eat it even after scrapping as much off as we could. The chicken in the ceaser salad was dry and there was way too much anchovy paste in the dressing. The waitresses and staff were great just the main courses were terrible.
Good food and great service. A little pricey but otherwise was a lovely dinner out.
It was a great time, food service was excellent. I will be back again
Thank you to our server, Sandra, for a pleasant, Saturday night outdoor dinner.
