Scotchiees Caribbean’s Jerk Cuisine

Scotchiees is a brand new Jamaican takeout restaurant located in Malvern Mall. Their menu offers most Jamaican favourites, including Oxtail, Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, Ackee, and more. I dropped in during their soft opening period to try their food. Most of it can be seen…in a steam table and it all looked good. I had their small oxtail. It was a generous serving, with rice & peas, fried plantain, and vegetables. It was tasty and tender and attractively presented on a banana leaf in the takeout container. Nice touch! The place looks very attractive, although it’s obvious that some finishing touches still need to be applied. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I’ll be back to try more of their food!More
