As the title says, food quality is great atmosphere is quite nice, staff is attentive but here is the rub.
3.0.0

As the title suggests, the food quality is excellent, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is attentive. However, there’s a downside. While the dishes are well-crafted, it’s not the gourmet experience as advertised. The menu is smaller with fewer choices than before, lacking gourmet options like crab or lobster, except for duck and mussels. This makes it overpriced for what you get. You need to reserve days in advance, or you might have to wait if they aren’t already full. Saturday nights are busy, but they give you a two-hour window to finish your meal, which is ample time for most people. The food was well-prepared, though there were no mini crème brûlées or even ice cream for dessert.

I was hesitant about writing a review since we went on 1 Jan for their New Year’s Day Buffet and this may not be representative of what is normally offered. The price was also higher at C$55+30% for taxes & tips, compared with the usual…$30 or $39 (Fri/Sat with seafood). Absolutely completely worth it. The choice and quality exceeded our expectations as did the kind and courteous service. Very impressive. It was sea food galore, incredible quality prime roast beef, duck breast, delicious deer, tender pork medallions, fresh salads, and a dizzying array of 18 deserts all made in their own kitchen. Normally it is recommended to book a time on-line on their website. However this option was deactivated for the Holidays and one had to show up and wait in a queue on the 5th floor. It turned out that we waited a mere 15 mins, much less than we expected. However we had to queue in the car for well over 1 hour just to access the Casino parking lot and then wait outside some more for a shuttle bus to go to the Casino. On New Year Day all shops are closed in Quebec and there is little to do in Montreal… so it seems like the Casino gets a lot of visitors. The Casino is on an island with very limited access and a one-lane road to get there (!). Many drivers actually gave up at some point and turned away. Given the fantastic meal we had at Pavillon 67 I am so very glad that we didn’t. Highly recommended. Thank you very much for a memorable evening. I can really see this becoming a family tradition.

Good part. freshness, courteous staff cleanness all good. Not so good. Selection of items, for the money it wasnot a great buffet, jad much better and cheaper at Mandarin in new market Ontario. No crablegs, lobster or other highest end things, disappointing.
