A note to all guests. During this time, our restaurant follows all safety guidelines set out by the Ministry of Health, to ensure the safety of our guests. As a result, all groups will have a seating time limit of two hours for their experience. As of Saturday October 10th, we are only offering patio seating in compliance with provincial health and safety guidelines (subject to weather conditions). We thank all guests for their cooperation during these challenging times.

Amal….just as the name evokes a sophisticated and gorgeous experience from the outside (decor, vibe, crowd), as it is on the inside (food, service, attitude). Not a surprise from one of the city’s best restauranteurs and purveyors of experiences….This one was a favourite as are both Byblos locations, for it’s Middleterranean cuisine and flare, which included outstanding service by Nadal…..super attentive and appropriately friendly like a brother, Nadal added as much to the experience as the great set up outdoors (Civid-times), and the food. The replacement Prosecco which was presented as a more expensive alternative, had its price adjusted once this MiddleEastern raised an eyebrow, with grace and fun bickering. The puffed up naan was a beautiful and tasty presentation of the staple, accompanied by it’s less special flat package variety…which was the only thing I’d do without…I’ll be back. And Nadal better still be there!
Despite the fact that it was a very windy and cold evening, we were comfortable and felt safe on the heated patio. A very pleasant evening out.

Amal is making an heroic effort to stay in business outdoors in the era of the totalitarian Fascist- Communist Doug Ford – Justin Trudeau lockdown. They continue to provide excellent service and great food! I look forward to dining indoors there whenever this is once again permitted!

The only one thing missing in my dine in experience was the lack of service the was given to us. My server last night was in a bit of a rush when it comes to me and my friends for ordering food , we are well aware that we only have to 2 hours When I tried to call her attention two times when I was ready to order my food She didn’t acknowledge it and talk to other guests besides us. Then she didn’t even us how we are all doing . Also at the end of the night . A different server was sent to us to pay our bills. And got charge $2 for a tap water
Went for brunch, great food and amazing service
Absolutely amazing! I will be eating here regularly. The outdoor dining area is so chic and warm. It’s very organized, clean. The food is fresh and the vibe is sexy.

Our server should teach lectures on customer service. The food was second only to my Teta (grandma in Arabic). Wish Ford wasn’t trying to shut everything except mcodalds and Timmys down highly recommended!!

Amal was absolutely amazing! Even with the outdoor seating due to covid. The food was truly AMAZING! I would highly recommend the tartare, the hummus, the lamb and the beef skewers ? hopefully when this is all done I can go back and have indoor dinning! I highly recommend and the staff was extremely friendly and personable
