Great quality food, a memorable experience…………….
Absolutely amazing food, which is a fusion of West Coast, South American and Japanese elements. The dining area is quiet, spacious, and modernly decorates. Service is impeccable, and Pisco Sour is a must.
The waitress serving our table left the restaurant. No new service assigned to our table until we asked.
Service was wonderful door to door. Menu has been reduced due to covid and dine out promotion so was a little disappointed with no sea urchin, however the sable (black cod) as well as the ling cod were excellent. Chef accepted requests as well. Full house, modified seating of course.
First time visit to Ancora. Atmosphere is very nice, food was great, but sommelier service from Michael was exceptional. He was very welcoming to begin with, friendly, and definitely knows his wines. Perfect pairing for the delicious food coming out of the kitchen. We will definitely be back on a regular basis.

Jessica – our server – was the perfect combination of engagement and professionalism. The food was a match of subtle flavours layered with a deft hand.
Our waiter was absolutely amazing. We were never left for long but yet he wasn’t ever hovering. The food was great and the recommendations were also fantastic. Overall a great experience with good food, good service, and good ambiance. Would recommend and will go back.

We usually go to Ancora in False Creek and this was our first time at the Ambleside location. Covid protocol and all was great. and We’re happy to say we will definitely go back!
