Barrel House Korchma

Thank you for the opportunity to dine at the Barrel House Korchma. Sadly we were disappointed with our meals. To start, everything was served cold and looked like it stood on the counter for a while before it arrived at the table. The borscht tasted…more like a pea/bean soup with no beet flavour as one would expect. The kapusta was cold, not what one would expect as a side dish to be warm. The chicken shashlyk was not properly cooked, many pieces were not thoroughly cooked (read raw) and was cold and “dipping sauce ” that came with it was overpowered with ketchup. The deep fried bun were good, but could have been much warmer and it would have been nice if they would have been coated with the warm butter and herbs as described in the menu. The side of roasted potatoes never came and the accompanying salad sides with the shashlyk were sadly out of a jar ☹️. The pork schnitzel was very disappointing – very thick with a mediocre breadcrumb coating that looked unappetizing which upon tasting confirmed what it looked like. Definitely lots to be improved upon, including the bar services (and variety of wines) which was slow. Oh, one more thing – if you say the cucumber mojito is with club soda, please use club soda, not sprite, and make sure the soda is fresh!More
