Welcome to a very unique Hot Pot restaurant, inspired by a more than 100 of years old tradition of China’s Chaoshan cuisine. While out Beef Balls are prepared in-store by hand, our mouthwatering broth is cooked over 10 hours in order to extract all the richness of the our meat’s taste and nutrients. We welcome you in our homely place, located at 4640 Macleod Trail SW, in Calgary. Here with the food freshly cooked right in front of your eyes, you and your friends will warm yourselves during long, cold winter months as well as will keep yourselves energized during the heat of summer. At BeeFun Hotpot, we only select AAA Beef from local cattle farms in Alberta. I saw their Facebook page said that they cook their broth for over 10 hours and that it is a unique traditional hot pot cuisine. And oh my GOD! Their beef is on the next level. When my girlfriend and I finished the meal, we…had to just sit for a while to fully embrace the blissful satisfaction that was going on in my body. Overall place is clean and looking pretty ordinary. We didn’t notice anything aversive. Their staff is great, very polite and instructive (it was my first time eating hot pot and I needed assistance). Awesome experience overall. Do be careful with peppers and spices when you make your sauce! Too bad I am not from Calgary, otherwise I would’ve loved to visit this place again. But I definitely put it on the map. Highly recommend those beef balls. They will send you to the MOON!More
Starting with not very welcoming enteance, it gets s touch better inside. Stark atmospgere, but clean. Semi loud to loud in the open layout. Menu has great offers. The hot pot, however , was not availsble for lunch. It starts after 3:00 PM. The Pho…was good. Better then many other places. The sizzling plate of sea food was so-so. The salt-and-pepper squid was ok, not much to brag about. It is OK place.
