Good delicious food, economical priced but need improvement on the ambiance. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they gave us free complimentary banana as their culture. Less choices but whatever available was tasty….. Please improve the sitting atmosphere

The Toronto Star highly recommended this Somalian restaurant. A group of us, 8 altogether, wanted to try. We made a reservation for a Saturday evening. Over the phone we were told we could order 30 minutes ahead of arrival so the food would be ready…for us. We decided to get there first before ordering. When we arrived, we were out in the back room. The place was deserted. When the staff gave us the menu, he said the prices were changed. We asked by how much, he said maybe one dollar or two, but he was quite evasive. After going through the menu, we asked for specifics. A $13 item was now $19. A $12 item became $16. This was outrageous. So we just walked out. Being overt non-Somalians, and obviously there because of the newspaper publicity, the owner there simply wanted to take us for a ride. Thinking back, the reason we were encouraged to order ahead of time was probably so we had no choice when we got there but paid the increased prices they would demand. It was so disheartening to experience such dishonesty firsthand.
