Was fantastic! Only thing was the main food always comes out to soon after your appetizers.

The food here is fantastic!! I would highly recommend this restaurant!! They have a lot of different options on the menu. There is something for everyone!

Nobody at the front for my reso. Poor start. Waited a few minutes. Had to find someone to seat me. Ended up with great service after that. I have been to this establishment multiple times. Best service I have had by far. Usually takes 5-10 minutes to get someone to take an order…this server asked right away! Made my Monday!

We were pleasantly surprised with the restaurant, the servers and the food. We had a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back again!

Birthday Celebration. Food was okay but not spectacular.

Meal was excellent – very good/decent portions. Very expensive for a glass of house wine ($12 for a 9 ounce glass?) Price shouldn’t be more than $1 per ounce, especially for house wine. Music was too loud for a restaurant, perfect for a lounge but too loud for a restaurant. Thumbs up to the staff! Very friendly, very professional! Will definitely go back at Block and Blade.

Food was yummy and server friendly, but there is a lack of “checking back” with tables in a timely fashion. Food arrives, but if there is any kind of issue, you are stuck waiting for someone to pop by. Though I totally understand how difficult it is with lack of staff, etc, restaurants need to implement strategies to improve these challenges. I would not have mentioned this, however, I have been to the restaurant several times and had the same problem. If they could resolve this, I would rate the restaurant a 5 out of 5. Also, special occasions should be recognized. It costs the restaurant little, but garners lots of goodwill with the clientele.

Service was incredibly slow, music too loud in dining area. Not sure we’d go back. Used to be great as the old Rockwood cafe.

First time here, really enjoyed our visit. Staff were attentive and verified our vaccination status by scanning and checking ID. Service was great, food great. It’s a big place so lots going on but the barriers do block the sound a bit. We were on the restaurant side rather than the lounge, which seems a bit louder. We will definitely be back.

Great food, great service

Ordered the rib and chicken plate and the portions large. Very tasty. The recommended blackberry mojito was delicious.

The beet salad and flatbread that we enjoyed were delicious, and good value.

Attentive and friendly service. Food as ordered was very good. Nice ambience but very noisy and echo-y. We were in the restaurant and found it very loud to have easy table conversation but it didn’t ruin our experience.

My steak was great, however Wanda’s was disgusting. We didn’t return it as we should have, but your staff was very busy, so she just soldiered on, able to eat only very little. It was half the thickness of mine, and almost all gristle. We really should have returned it and suggested the chef eat it!!

This restaurant has the ‘sweet spot’! We can go for an upscale dinner if we feel like dressing up, or go for a casual dinner if we don’t feel like cooking. It has a quality drink and food menu that’s inspired and fresh, but not too upscale that it costs an arm and leg, and it has the mains to keep my kids happy, like the chicken tenders meal. I’d recommend going for appies and drinks and sharing plates. (My favs: lettuce wraps, perogy flatbread, gnocchi bowl, chicken wings, and of course, the nachos. Also be sure to try the citrus blossom white sangria and the Canadian maple -yummy!)

Nice atmosphere! If you want to talk choose the dining room, it is quieter then the lounge area! Food was great. Large portion and prompt ! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. Overall this is a great place !

Food was great, but we booked for our anniversary and also told them and they did not acknowledge it. That was disappointing. Otherwise it was great.

This restaurant is the perfect place for dinner with a wide variety of goods on the menu. Our steak was great and the sides outstanding. Service was outstanding as well. Really nice ambience and the perfect size so that’s it’s not too loud. It’s very clean, TV’s at every angle. Would highly recommend it.

Drinks were good, although my ginger pomegranate margarita didn’t have any ginger in it. We shared an average tasting spinach dip as an appetizer. I had the disappointing fish tacos, very bland. My husband had the ribs (served with a rock hard inedible bun and no butter). He enjoyed the ribs but very heavy in the liquid smoke. I would recommend sitting in the lounge for some atmosphere as the booth walls are really tall so you don’t get a view of the restaurant. I would actually recommend a different restaurant all together.

Service was to be as expected as many restaurants are experiencing staffing issues.
