The Harbourfront location is our third shop, built in partnership with the Harbourfront Centre.
This space is easily our most ambitious, with inside capacity of more than two hundred and a patio that seems to feed endlessly into Lake Ontario.
Bringing high-quality coffee, a full food menu, and craft alcohol to a reimagined waterfront is a challenge we couldn’t wait to take on.
The reward was immediate upon opening: a coffee on the boardwalk in the summer, or chasing a skate on the outdoor rink with a glass of wine are experiences unique to our small plot of real estate.
We’re so excited to be a part of the reinvigoration of Toronto’s waterfront.

Bad bad bad service.
Great place to go before Jays game!
Good location, nice view. They had run out of calamari, but perhaps it was too close to the dinner time menu being released.
I rarely review things. I love boxcar’s location and ambiance. But the servers are the worst. They made a mistake with the bill and needed to give us some money back. They basically threw the change to the table with an attitude. I was the one organized this and I felt horrible.
Minimal menu, just good to have a beer before heading out for dinner somewhere else. No brunch menu on weekend, lots of families with little kids (in case you are looking for something romantic). Good views of the lake
Great experience overall! Would recommend to introduce a desert menu , currently missing and is a disadvantage for bday parties ..Awesome otherwise, great view over the lake . Thanks!
This place is a fabulous place to go to sit outside and enjoy the view of the harbour front. Our food was pretty good. Burgers were tasty and salads were good but definitely not the best. The grilled chicken was over cooked our waitress seemed a bit frazzled. While she started out being very friendly but seemed less so as the lunch continued. I started looking around and I think she may have been the only one working. The bar staff must have been overwhelmed as well because drinks service was really slow. Overall though we would go back and I definitely think it’s the best place to eat on the waterfront.
My summer salad was absolutely disgusting. Please don’t serve old spinach and two strawberries and call that a salad and have the audacity to charge nearly $15.
“””Very relaxed and chill place by the water that cater to all”
The food was delicious and the service was great but when I was there they had a single working bathroom for the entire restaurant. I went to use it several times but in each instance there were three people waiting…I know they are attached to the harbourfront centre but for a busy Saturday night it was not a great situation.
If you are in the area and want a bite you can come here and enjoy the open space and great view. The beer selection is excellent, but don’t expect an amazing dining experience. Compared to the other harbour front food options it’s pretty good.
