Chosun Korean Bbq

Cho Sun is a Korean BBQ restaurant located on Kingsway, Vancouver BC. It’s the only Korean restaurant near my place. My boyfriend and I had Korean food at this restaurant a couple of times. We had a great time eating there Location: The restaurant is…located on one of the busiest streets in Vancouver, 5 to 10 mins away from Metrotown, which keeps its always super busy. It’s a medium size of the restaurant. Inside the restaurant, it has traditional Asian style decorations on the wall. Very large space inside it. Service: The servers in this restaurant are all from Asia, so they have a great variety of food including Korean, Korean BBQ, Chinese Korean, and Japanese (sushi) cuisine, which satisfies both of us while choosing dish. Food: The taste of Food was great, authentic, and flavourful. Calamari $5.95 – Deep fried squid legs with mayo sauce on the side. It’s 100% Asian Style Calamari. The taste was OK. May need more squid legs for the prices. Kimchi Soup $9.95 – Spicy Kimchi stew with pork, tofu and vegetable. It’s one of my favorite dish in this restaurant. The soup was boiling hot. The taste was sour and spicy, which is very authentic. Lots of Tofu and Kimichi in the pot. Totally worth this price. Hot Stone Bibimbap $11.95 – Steamed rice topped with sauteed vegetables, chooped beef and a fried eggs. My boyfriend always ordered this dish. I love eating this with super hot sauce. The hot stone was extremely “hot” so that we have to be very careful when we mixed everything and eat them.Sweet & Sour Pork $17.95 – Deep – fried pork with a lightly sweet sour sauce. The taste was more like the Pork Dish from my hometown – Guo Bao Rou. It was our first time trying this dish. We loved it. Free Kimichi, Sweet Potato, bean sprouts, and Spicy Vegetables. Price : the price of food was a little bit expensive.

Chosun is a restaurant that seems to have been around for years. Located in Vancouver along the busy Kingsway corridor, one of the things that we enjoy about this restaurant is that they offer both Korean and Japanese dishes. We dropped by for lunch in…mid-September and wound up ordering the Korean Style Set Meal A and the Japanese Style Set Meal B where you pick your main dish and you get a bunch of side dishes (price is based on the main dish). Both of our meals came to $16.95 which was pretty good given how much food was involved. For the Korean Style Set Meal A, we picked beef bulgogi and it came with grilled mackerel, steamed egg roll, 2 kinds of Korean style pancakes, salad, rice cakes, japchae noodles, steamed rice, and soup. For the Japanese Style Set Meal B, we picked unagi and it came with takoyaki, tempura, croquette, rice cakes, salad, steamed rice, and soup. Overall, the food was pretty good and I liked the variety of options to pick from. Service was a bit slow and difficult to flag people down but that might have been due to how busy it was.

I love the Simplicity of ordering the Combos and we have to get everything you want without having to order a bunch of different Meats / sides. Everything tastes great and I love the sides, the potatoes are delicious, the kimchi is great. Check out…chosun!More

I was there with my family , order few things ,it took long time to come , food was okay , ordered barbeque, it was not up to the expectation , and one of the worst and poor service ,

Always come back here with the girls. It’s fun comfortable and clean. Food is great and priced well. Quality good and lots of bottomless Korean side dishes that keep coming. Very cozy space.

This place is not so bad – I enjoyed their pork bone soup, however they were stingy in ban chan or side dishes compared to other K resto I’ve been especially in San Francisco or Toronto, Ontario where they were very generous in giving 8…or more side dishes! I won’t go back to this place anymore!More

They have very large dividers between the tables, and a good vibe inside. While I think there should also be pixie glass between tables along the walkway, I think they can leave alternate tables empty during COVID 19. We got BBQ Combo A, as well…as seafood tofu soup and seafood pancake. The bbq combo was quite a bit of food. It also comes with rice and side dishes. Overall flavours were good, but nothing really stood out. Service was also standard. Only suggestion is for the restaurant to expand their washroom. They are only single washrooms serving an entire restaurant. If someone is taking long in front of you, you’ll have to stand at the front door and wait for your turn.

Terrible reservation that this place provides. You can make reservation for more than 6 people. Does the BC COVID restrictions only allow 6 people in a table? They definitely not follow. I saw 9 people in a table. On the other hand, they seem to…want to make them legit on following the rules, let you standing outside for 30 minutes to get in. It is cold outside! Nobody cared if you finished your tea. Will never get back again!!!More

Ordered take out 2 weeks in a row and the pricing on the bill was quite significant in $$. They had up charged each dish by $3 -10. When I complained to the manager, he was extremely rude and obviously don’t care. I told him…DoorDash charges less than you do and he just told me to order through DoorDash then. Such bad customer service!More

We sampled some of the luncheon specials..fairly reasonably priced at $11/$14 for main meal but including large soup and the usual range of Korean spicy side dishes which can be replenished. All your favourites available. Food reasonably good and service quick ven on a busy…Friday. COVID infrastructure firmly in place.
