Those who regularly dine at Fat Pasha have long known what a treasure it is for its fantastic Jewish cuisine. Dinner is available seven days a week, while brunch is served Wednesday through Sunday. Fat Pasha is well-equipped to handle special occasions, such as birthdays, corporate events and bat mitzvahs. But even if you just want to pop in for meal for the first time simply because you’ve never been, you’ll quickly see why so many people love it.
The menu at Fat Pasha is specially crafted and all the entrees are prepared using the freshest ingredients. You can start off with delicious pickles and hot olives and then move on to things, such as smoked salmon or roasted chicken. Be sure to save room for one of the excellent desserts. Takeout is always available if you want to bring something home or back to the office.
We were really excited to try this place but sadly were disappointed. $14 cocktails, mediocre, overpriced food and inattentive service. Plus the added benefit of a God awful smell taking over the restaurant during the middle of our meal. Turned out it was a ‘restaurant safe compound’ being used in the kitchen but who does that on a Friday night in the middle of dinner service?!
Great take on Mediterranean dishes, fast service, knowledgeable staff. Vegan-friendly. Thank you!
Too many restaurants have near identical menus. it was a real pleasure visiting a plavce that had a very different offering. Staff were there to assist when assistance was required. Never obtrusive. I would most definitely return.
The Fat Pasha is an hour’s walk from City Hall and worth every step. The service is friendly, helpful and efficient. The food is Middle Eastern, full of flavour, colourful and served in generous family-style portions. A decent bottle of wine costs $50 and as much food as two people can eat costs not much more. Even with a very generous tip in recognition of the good service we received, our meal was a good deal. The restaurant attracts a young and lively crowd, but even hungry septuagenarians like ourselves, who’d walked from downtown, felt welcome and at home.
We sat on the patio which had a great ambiance. It was covered, which was great because we could sit outside even though it called for a bit of rain. the roasted cauliflower and garlic tomatoes are a must! Service was great, everyone was friendly and attentive.
Food was fantastic, drinks were inventive and incredibly large portions – definitely ordered too much! Service was good. The servers knew the menu and could recommend things to try. The only downfall was the food was served en masse and too quickly, even after we asked to hold the next dish. We barely had room for everything on the table and felt rushed out.
We enjoyed the mixed salads, especially the garlic tomatoes and puréed eggplant. The flavours were fresh tasting and the dishes were colourfully presented with a variety of garnishes, including pickles and pickled radishes. The outdoor patio was pleasant and relaxing,

The waiter also seemed like he had a chip on his shoulder but you could tell he tried to be nice. The meal was delicious except the cutlery provided and the small size of the serving plates made it difficult to portion out the food to each of us without making a mess. Reason being the knives were dull and the plates the food arrived in (specifically the broccoli and cauliflower) were too small. … And the cauliflower was extraordinary! Great service, friendly vibe, will return
Most of the dishes were a bit one dimensional, while one dish was just bad (brocoli tasted like is was burned and douced with bbq sauce.) The restaurant only caters to groups as you don’t get to taste a variety of food types with small numbers (this is because the price/size of the dishes). Service was good but didnt make up for the food.
The food at Fat Pasha’s was generous in size and even more generous in flavor. Every dish was a complex delight, served warmly and quickly. For an outstanding casual meal, you can’t do much better than Fat Pasha.
Great experience there getting a variety of middle eastern flavored foods. Portions were generous and waitstaff very helpful and attentive. Liver and onions, beef tartar, duck confit hummus were delicious. Roasted cauliflower did not disappoint. Overall great dine.
Food and service were amazing and it was my first time on the patio which was gorgeous. The only thing I found a bit off was the following: we were a party of 4 sitting at an oversized picnic table. Halfway through our apps, the hostess seated 2 more people at our table. They looked uncomfortable (they actually looked like they might be on a date!) and after sitting for a couple minutes, they asked to move. About halfway through our dinner, 2 more people were seated, this time 2 women who also made sheepish faces but remained. I don’t mind mixed or bench seating if I know in advance. I think they should tell you when you book and give you the option of choosing something else.
