Glamorgan Bakery

Always like dropping into this bakery when I am in the area. I used to be a regular here when I lived in Glamorgan. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the place is always clean. Their breads ( Good Hearth, Raisin, Sugar and Multi grain), cheese buns and croissants, cinnamon buns were my favorites. But I was always trying their desserts…yum. Can’t say enough about this place. It’s one of those you just have to experience.

Bought a lemon meringue pie. Looked lovely, but under the meringue was a lemon soup. The lemon slide out of the pie. I bought it because I didn’t have time to make one myself, I took it to work for a party. I have never been so embarrassed to serve something to my work mates in my life. I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt and keep trying things. I am always disappointed in everything I have bought there. Once a birthday cake was frozen, I picked it up to serve immediately, was half frozen.

Anyone who knows this bakery also knows that they have the best cheese buns ever! I don’t know why they are so good they just are so cheese and soft and sludgy and fresh that they are delicious. As well, my family always gets our birthday cakes done here. I went to Richmond pub the other night which is in the same parking lot and they have an item which is the glamorgan cheese buns served with roast beef and gravy! It is delicious and I’m happy to see local businesses supporting each other !

Ever since I was a kid, I have loved this place. Their creations are ALL incredible, especially their signature cheese buns. Going back years and years I cannot recall a time where my experience with Glamorgan’s staff was anything less than stellar. They are charming and warm and welcoming. You can ask stupid questions and they make you feel perfectly fine about it. I was delighted to visit Glamorgan on Tuesday and see four separate groups of people standing in the parking lot talking and wolfing down cheese buns. So hilarious. The carrot cake they made for my mom’s birthday was hands down the best carrot cake I’ve ever tasted. Just amazing. Food is incredible, staff is incredible. What a great business. Happy to visit every time I’m through Calgary!

The cupcakes we bought today is the best cupcake my family have. The cupcake is soft and moist from inside. The icing on top is not very sweet like the other cupcakes. That is why im doing this review to help spread the word about the bakery. They serve alot of pastries, breads, ready or made to order cakes! another Glamorgan Bakery master piece! chocolate cake!
