Good selection with specials for the particular night. Reasonable wine and beer menu. It was very quiet the night we were there so good for conversation.
After our orders were placed, I never saw our server again until we got the check. Dinner took an hour to be served, during that time, no one stopped in and checked on us or apologized for the wait. Our drinks were never refilled and no one bothered to ask us how our meals were. To top it off, patrons that were seated after us received their meals before us. The food was ok, but not worth the money or the poor service. We felt as though we were on a candid camera TV show, because we couldn’t imagine the service could be that bad.
We visited the restaurant on a number of occasions given we were in Toronto for five nights. One reason we chose to stay at the DoubleTree was the bar and restaurant. We LOVE the bartender, Dennis and the staff. Superb!! 5 STARS!!
Positive experience. Good food, great service, nice atmosphere. Good go to place for conversations.
The hostess and server were very nice. Their selection of wines were very limited. The menu was small and I expected more for a new years eve meal.
Great service. Very patient and accommodating waiter. A good quiet restaurant for a get together for conversation. Close to the Textike Museum whuchbwas great.
Great staff. Excellent food. Needs some new menu items !!
I made a 7pm reservation for a Sunday night, which wasn’t necessary since the restaurant was almost empty. We were seated quickly and given menus but it took 30 minutes for a waiter to acknowledge our presence. There were 3 waiters on staff, 2 must have been assigned different tables and the third had a friend at the bar he couldn’t tear himself away from. 30 minutes to get water. 30 minutes to take our order. We should have left. The food wasn’t worth the wait.
Did the breakfast buffet. Nice selection of breakfast items. The hot food was all hot and was replenished quickly when necessary. Only complaint was watery scrambled eggs. Danish selection was good and the croissants airy and delicious. Coffee was piping hot with a carafe left on the table. Nice selection of fresh fruit. Service was excellent and prompt.
Reserved for dinner on Saturday night before going to see Ain’t Too Proud at the Princess of Wales Theatre. Got to the restaurant and the formal side of the restaurant was closed, so only seating available was on the Bar/Bistro side. It was noisy, sports playing on the TV. If I had wanted to eat in a bar, I am sure I could have found more reasonable choices. Very disappointed
“Great service – attentive and prompt
