With clean lines and textures of leather, velvet, warm wood and stone, this is a modern rendition of the classic steakhouse tradition. Pride of place is held by the circular, glass enclosed grill room, producing perfect charcoal grilled Canadian Prime Grade steaks. The horseshoe shaped bar is surrounded by varying levels of lounge and dining space that is both spacious and intimate. The menu features both classic and newly imagined recipes, but Hy’s favorites, like the famous Caesar salad and Steak Diane, are still prepared tableside. The extensive wine list, and delicious, hand crafted cocktails, promise something for every taste. Whether for lunch, dinner, or something in between, Hy’s promises a timeless and memorable experience.

Food and service was great, as usual. Quiet due to downturn and COVID, which is unfortunate. But i’m sure the energy and vibe will return we are at the end of this.

Date night with my partner on one of the last evenings before another non science based communist government lockdown. Modified menu for the patio so the selection looks a little more like lunch. We enjoyed a chat with some friends that were there before our waiter treated us to some delicious Hy’s cheese toast and a couple of New York Steak Sandwiches done to perfection. Our sommelier helped us choose a lovely red (Gamay) which paired lovey and prefaced by a couple Belvedere martinis. It was a great evening out on the warm and quiet patio.
First time visiting this place and it was just absolutely amazing! Me and my partner went here to celebrate her birthday and the staff treated us so nicely and gave us a delicious desert! The food was amazing up to our expectation. It was raining and pretty cold when went but the one of the staff there was super awesome and surrounded us with all the heaters and we felt so cared lol. Food was a bit pricy but it was super worth it! Cant wait to visit again!
