I really like this place! It reminds me of one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in my hometown of Brisbane. The pork steam dumplings were very fresh and tasty. I also had the almond crusted fish pieces – yummy! After these two items, I then ordered some noodles with green onions – these were ok. The ambiance of the restaurant is comfortable and staff are attentive and fast. Definitely put this restaurant on your Toronto food list. It’s very easy to access from the Yonge and Bloor subway station too.
Excellent food and wonderful wait staff. We shared and enjoyed a number of items.
Service always excellent, food always fresh and delicious
This is a modern Chinese restaurant serving mostly Northern Chinese cuisine. The service is friendly and very courteous. Highly recommended
Lee Chen has very nice decors and vibe located at the heart of Yonge/Bloor. The dinner menu has a lot of options but the authentically of the food is just not there. For example spicy beef noodle soup wasn’t spicy, Lychee bubble tea tasted artificial with not-so-fresh tea, etc. Overall price to taste ratio is not very high and I much rather prefer Asian Legend. Having said that, I have also been to the restaurant a few times during lunch and the lunch specials are very good and tasty.
This was my first visit and it met with my expectations, I had heard very positive feedback from family that had eaten there, I was not disappointed. I will be back, hopefully many times.
Visited Toronto for a week with friend and I cannot recall WHY I made a reservation but I had. The day before we were perusing the menu, and were considering cancelling but I must say we were glad that we did not. The food was incredibly delicious, not typical Chinese cuisine, flavos were wonderful. Service was also excellent, especially Cecilia and Vincent. Lved the cold sesame noodles.
the hostess and waiter are excellent – attentive but not intrusive. Respond to special requests – very accommodating. food is excellent and waiter is very helpful in making recommendations. noise level is low and so conversation can happen without shouting.
I had gone to this restaurant once before. The food does not disappoint. The food prices are on the higher end. However, the food quality is excellent. The food is consistent and comes hot and fresh. The interior of the restaurant is unique. Their Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) are worth the trip here.
Don’t trust Open Table for reservations. There are many times available by phone that are not listed and five minutes before my reservation I mysteriously received an email that my reservation had been cancelled.
Had the soup dumplings – amazing. The vegetable fried dumplings – great but vegetables aren’t really my thing. The rice cake soup which was big and very tasty. The chow mein is also very flavourful and generously portioned.
