One of my favourite afternoon tea in Toronto. Located in the lobby of the Shangri-La Hotel. We came during holidays and experienced the Nutcracker afternoon tea. It includes a glass of Prosecco, your choice of tea, 4 kinds tea sandwiches, 2 kinds of scones and varied selection of desserts. The service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable of the menu giving us a detailed description of the ingredients of the cocktails, different types of teas, sandwiches and mini desserts. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon with friends. The atmosphere was very relaxing and our table enjoyed the music from the pianist.
I love afternoon teas, and the tea at the Shangri-La was a lovely take on the experience. The menu was fun and seasonal, and I appreciated the nice mocktail option. It was quite busy when we went, making service a bit slower, but our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was overall quite good, but the sandwiches were a bit stale (again, this could be because of the busier time of year). There isn’t a ton of ambiance, as you’re in the hotel lobby, but there was nice live entertainment (a pianist) and some tasteful holiday decor.
It starts with tea selection – I didn’t try each of them and jump to the most attractive one – the special The sparking one is normal, not very surprising Overall the food is good: details, good quali
Service, food, and ambience were all exceptional. Highly recommended!
I went for high tea for Valentine’s Day and had a great time. The staff went above and beyond my expectations to accommodate my dietary restrictions. The pianist played some classic hits and added to the ambience. Would recommend.
Had afternoon tea at the Shangri-La hotel and it was awesome. The space is gorgeous and the piano singer was great. The only thing that was not great were the sweet treats. Because they were celebrating the Chinese New Year all the food was of Asian flair. Some were not good. I will go back though. But only when they have their regular afternoon tea menu.
Great spot!
Top notch service! Everyone was very professional and friendly.
Place was barren
We did a small gathering for my friends Bachlorette. It was cute, quiet and a very nice experience. I highly recommend it!
It was enjoyable meal, they followed by the book with all guidelines by the medical officials. The menu is good and wide for all tastes and sizes. I am glad I went and spent a good day with a good lunch to see family and friends. The patio is very comfortable and spacious by corner of university, valet parking is also available. Bravo.
Best service in Toronto – patiently waiting for live music to return!
I wish I could remember our server’s name – tall blonde gentleman – he was so attentive and so gracious. We adored him!! Despite the cold, everything was amazing from start to finish. Additionally, every staff member took health measures very seriously and we felt so safe being there!! 100% will back.
