Great service- very Canadian cookie choices and gentle with the older patrons- A pleasure to watch.
Anyone who has grown up on the west side of Vancouver must know about Moores. This long standing institution on West 41st Avenue is in the building that originally housed the Kerrisdale cinema. The staff know they are usually dealing with regular customers and treat…customer as such. Breads, cookies and danishes are freshly made every day; the soups and sandwiches offered at the deli counter are made to order and perfectly priced. It’s location is central and is only a half a block from the Kerrisdale parkade – possibly the last free public parking area in Vancouver.
Best bakery in Vancouver bar none. We have been getting our celebration cakes from Moores since 1959. They only get better!
I love the gluten free options in this bakery-cookies, squares, meringues of course, and assorted filled meringues. The breads are extremely good-especially the fruit bread so delicious as toast that I would drive across the city for. Fortunately I can easily walk there. The cakes…are traditional as a whole-nothing unusual or special except one cake iced with what looks like roses-but the ones I have tried tasted great and the prices are reasonable. Moore’s often ranks highly reader’s choice awards. It is worth a visit and a nosh.
We purchased a chocolate cake from Moore’s which was good but I expected more from the bakery after reading the reviews and hearing about it, I will have to try more products to give it another chance or two to impress me.
Popped in for a quick sandwich as we were driving by and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were awesome. Cookies and Sandwiches were great. Highly recommended. Xx
What can I say: one of the best bakeries in town! Family-owned and excellent services to9 go along with the amazing products. From almond-marzipan filled flaky pastries that melt in your mouth, to delicate tarts and breads, you get it all. The butter tarts and…the shortbread cookies are to die for.
