Spice Circle Indian Restaurant

We enjoyed our meal at this family run restaurant greatly as the food was excellent and the son Rick did every thing he could to please us. We had the Madras Chicken, Goat Curry and Garlic Prawns. We had enough to take home for a…second meal. The restaurant is very handy to the Assiniboine Park on the North side of Portage. Order food on the way home from work. We will certainly visit this restaurant again.

From the moment we walked in the restaurant we loved it. The staff are wonderful. So friendly, attentive and caring. The food was amazing. The naan was perhaps the best we ever had. The Chicken Tikka Masala, the rice and the Lamb Biryani were all…so delicious. We cannot wait to go back and try more dishes. This restaurant will definitely be our go to Indian restaurant in Winnipeg. Highly recommend trying it!More

Food was excellent, and the young man who served us could not have been more pleasant or more attentive. We started with the Fish Pakora – fish was very tender and the outside was lightly fried. Could not have been better. I ordered the Fish…Curry, and my wife ordered her favorite dish – Lamb Saag. But the menu didn’t say “Lamb Saag”, it said Spinach Lamb. As a result, the waiter thought she said Lamb Masala. What a fortunate mistake. My wife now has a new favorite dish. If you like lamb, you must order the Lamb Masala. Feeling guilty, the waiter brought us a small order of Lamb Saag. No comparison to the Lamb Masala. The Garlic Naan was some of the best we have ever had. For us, Winnipeg was a three day stop during our two months in Canada, but I would return for this restaurant.

First time ordering pick up from Spice Circle – we will definitely order again. Everything is fresh, from scratch, very flavourful, perfectly spiced, and mild just as requested (so our little guy can eat it, too).
