Established in 2010.
Ta pies is a New Zealand/Australian influenced savoury pie and dessert take out with limited bar style and outdoor seasonal seating, created in march 2010 by classicaly trained New Zealand born chef Don Hudson and his Quebecoise wife Melanie Des Lauriers.
After moving to Montreal in 2008 a desire to escape the hotel scene and a craving for the tastes of home led Don to the idea of going back to his roots and bringing some of his favourite New Zealand and Australian comfort food classics like meat pies, sausage rolls and his favorite childhood desserts to Montreal.

This place is amazing and incredibly friendly. Pies as good, if not better the ones we had when we have traveled to Australia. Worth the drive from Ottawa just to come for pies and return home. Ned Kelly and the Vegetarian with ricotta, mushrooms and tomatoes are two favorites!
