The Elm Tree is a family-run modern Mediterranean restaurant. Using fresh and high-quality products, the menu focuses on using familiar ingredients while delivering unique and comforting food. The restaurant prides itself on having a casual, friendly ambiance where customers can relax.
Inspired by their father’s and uncle’s restaurants, brothers Ben and Jonathan Mishaev created The Elm Tree restaurant as a fresh and modern twist to their family roots. Growing up surrounded by a perfect mix of food and hospitality, their passions were obvious from a young age.
Ben’s passion for cooking and Jonathan’s interest in beverage programs and hospitality has created the perfect combination of delicious, unique food and welcoming, homey atmosphere. To Ben and Jonathan, each guest who enters the restaurant is like someone who comes into their home. The brothers strive to make them happy, treat them well and ensure they leave satisfied.
Very nice and quaint. Comfortable seating, great food. Good service, no complaints.
I love that it isn’t noisy and you can actually talk to people. Definitely a reason to come back!
Cauliflower appetizer was amazing. Barramundi flavorful. Strip steak – loved the risotto, meat bit grisly but tasty. Chic decor, fantastic ambiance, service was outstanding. Will revisit and recommend
Above and beyond expectations.. this is a hidden gem in downtown area ..
We had a great meal on our first visit. The mains were Barramundi fish and lamb chops. Both mains were excellent. The lamb was cooked exactly as ordered. The chops are thick cut and very tender. Sides with each main went perfectly. A compact but nice wine list. Something for everyone. The service was outstanding. We look forward to returning with friends. A great find.
Nourriture excellente! Personnel très gentil!
Beat way to experience the many Mediterranean dishes is to get several and share! Everything we tried was delicious! I especially liked they grilled brussel sprouts! Yum!
Ok. Not great for price point.
Very good restaurent. My husband enjoy is steak ! See you next time when we will be in Toronto 🙂
All good, though $14 for a glass of Cote du Rhone that sells for less than $20 per bottle is a bit much.
Loved it! Will go back! Everything was delicious. ? From the pita and dip, to the cauliflower app, to the mains (risotto dish and salmon dish), to the wines, to the pistachio dessert!!! Charming and quaint, and you can carry on a conversation all evening and hear each other. A wonderful evening out.
Great food, warm and cozy place. It’s not too pricey for a place like that. Perfect for a date night restaurant. Highly recommended.
All the food is good! Lobster risotto was so tasty. My friends and I split 4 desserts. I hate to be vague, but they really are ALL good. Service worked as a great team. Would go again!
Firstly we all loved the large for six that was perfect for sharing plates. Every appetizer was outstanding. Main courses were good to very good. Will return and may just order a table full of apps.
