X-Site Grill and Bistro

I have not been to the X-site grill on Hastings in Vancouver but I have been to the other location on Hastings in Burnaby. This is the second time my friends and I have been to this location for brunch on a Saturday, you need…to get there early because it fills up quick. Both times I have had the lunch special (Souvlaki) and its huge, and if you order off the lunch menu the total before tip is $9.00. We are planning to use this as our monthly get together as its central for all of us and the price is very reasonable. If your in the Burnaby area it really is a great place to stop and have lunch.

If you get beyond the unfortunate name (Is this a brothel, or porn video rental store?!!) this is one of our cincy neighbourhood choices for dinner. All the food is prepared on site and is humble but tasty. Their burgers are hand made and served…on a fresh bun each and every time. You get a hand made salad, not some pour out of a bag greens, with a simple oil and vinegar dressing and a perfectly cooked, nice textured baked potato with sour cream. It’s like you’re eating over at your friend’s mom’s place. The steak night is ridiculous value: a perfectly acceptable strip loin steak with the above mentioned sides for $6 as long as you order a glass of beer. That’s a ten dollar dinner okay? Also fantastic are their mexican dishes. The enchiladas are authentic and delicious. The chicken burger is also perfectly executed. Many people stay away from this place thinking it is poor food due to the cheap prices. They are wrong.

Today I had a misfortune of dining in this restaurant. As it was my first time, I decided to eat something that I was very familiar with and one that is so easy to prepare. I ordered their Plancha – Fajitas. The veggies looked as…if it was from yesterday’s leftover. So soggy. I didn’t even get to eat much! To top it all it was pretty pricey as compared to what my husband and son ordered. They had burger and a souvlaki. Both their orders where about $7 each while mine was $12.95. We also had a Taco Salad to share. Mind you Taco Louie is much better. X-cite’s taco salad was too salty I had to ask for sour cream twice just to neutralize the taste but it didn’t do the trick. Daily food deals are pretty great. We were able to walk right in and get a table. Large portions for a decent price. Our waitress was amaxing, the waitress serving the table beside me was talking imapproperatly to her customers and talking down her co-workers…which is disappointing andMore

Pretty sure you won’t find a better value this side of the town than this place. Came here with a few friends for dinner. The drinks are good, the portion is good, the service is good, and the price is awesome. The Mexican Nachos is…delicious. Everything else on the menu, not so much. Could probably done the same cooking at home. All that said, I would probably come back again just for drinks and that nachos.

They have daily drink specials which are well priced. There food prices are great and the menu is priced right. They also have daily food specials and they looked good also. The service was very good. Overall a great deal.

Super deal for hot meals anywhere Vancouver. Excellent friendly service. Portions are great for the price. Food is fantastic and cheap. When we were there they had a Jazz band playing! They have another venue on the same street in Burnaby.

I came here today after not coming here for a few years.Still the same owner and great food and service too.I certainly recommend this restaurant

I had a strange experience at this X-Site location this past weekend. Our group of five came in for nachos and entrees. It took forever to be acknowledged by anyone or to take our order. The nachos were terrible. A plate of tortilla chips with…virtually nothing on them. When it came time to order entrees, the server took the order of the three guys and walked away, ignoring the two women. My girlfriend ended up just leaving, but I decided since the server didn’t want to take my order I wouldn’t give her my business. It was very odd. I don’t think there was any ill intent from the server, but what the heck. I won’t return to this location. I love the Burnaby location.

Great value, good food and will be back. Heard of this place many years ago and have been there many times. Don’t let the decor scare you. Just good food at amazing prices. Their lunch specials can’t be beaten.
